🔍 While these features have facilitated rapid sectoral growth, they have also exposed critical regulatory blind spots, particularly at the intersection of labour and immigration policies.
🔍 These platforms have redefined the organisation of a specific labour market sector, introducing algorithmic management, flexible scheduling, and low entry barriers. ⤵️
🔍 The food delivery sector in Spain has undergone a significant transformation since the emergence of digital platforms such as Glovo, Uber Eats, and Just Eat. ⤵️

🤔 Criminalizing migrants does not work. It is unenforceable, encourages exploitation, and causes insecurity. That was the central message of the protest on September 7, 2025, at the Malieveld in The Hague, organised by the FNV Migrant Domestic Workers.
🔍 Regularization is a better choice. Stop criminalizing people without residence permits.

🔍 It will also be a means to collect and share local experiences: each month, project partners and newsletter subscribers will be able to contribute by reporting episodes, debates or relevant initiatives from their national contexts, helping to build a broad and comparative European perspective. ⤵️
🔍 The newsletter will serve a dual purpose:

📌 To promote and disseminate DignityFIRM’s publications and results;

📌 To provide a review of news from the partner countries on the core themes of the project: decent work, workers’ rights, exploitation and governance dynamics. ⤵️
🔍 To better showcase these results and strengthen public dialogue, we are launching the project’s monthly newsletter, highlighting the many materials we are producing and creating a stable channel for updates and exchange.⤵️

The mid-term review of the EU Integration & Inclusion Action Plan shows progress in migrants’ access to employment, but barriers persist in housing, healthcare, and access to funds.
🔍 The EU extended temporary protection for Ukrainians until March 2027. A new strategy under discussion encourages both voluntary return and a transition to national residence permits, but risks of uneven implementation remain.
🔍 As discussions on the post-2027 EU MFF ramp up, talks hint at a major overhaul, sparking concerns over the future of dedicated support for farming and social inclusion.
📈 As part of the negotiations to simplify #CSRD #CSDDD, Council and EP push to narrow the scope of due diligence and reporting obligations for companies. Talks continue this autumn.
🔍 The Commission proposes CAP simplification to cut red tape and support small farmers - but concerns persist over social protections and long-term policy stability.
📢 The latest DignityFIRM policy update is out!
It covers EU policy developments from May to July: CAP simplification, the future EU budget, temporary protection for Ukrainians, the review of the Action Plan for Integration and Inclusion, and more!
