The thing about my millionsummers dynamic is that for all of Legato’s endless devotion to Knives he is terrible at receiving/giving casual affections so he’ll brush Knives off and Knives is left feeling like both the most and least desirable man in the world

Knives does not feel entitled to Legato’s devotion and I hate the implication that Knives is keeping him by force. Knives tells him IN CANON that he doesn’t care about his overzealous behavior

I think one of my least favorite characterizations of Knives is where he thinks Legato owes him something. One of the biggest reasons why Legato stood out to Knives was because of him offering his servitude freely 😩
