So I posted this photo on Facebook saying how I got some much needed me time yesterday and got my nails done. Some very rude stranger said "nope, too short and stubby". Girl, I did not ask for your opinion. I love my blingy nails. And no I didn't say that to her, just deleted it and blocked her. 😆

I've been practicing a bunch of curve and wave piecing techniques... And instead of it making me feel inspired, it's frustrating the hell out of me. Time to go sew something simple to give me a sense of accomplishment to wash away the negativity! #quiltsky

Well the cold has finally reached us. Unfortunately, it's staying longer than it usually does. Now to find some warm clothes in the back of my closet or I'm not leaving the house!

I'm tired, frustrated, angry and a little overwhelmed today. I think it's time to stop doom scrolling and go make dinner. Hopefully I'll get some sewing done after dinner to help.

I couldn't sleep because it was so hot in here. I check the thermostat and it's at 74°... On HEAT! I told my husband that I am now in charge of the thermostat forever! 🥵🥵

🥶🥶 It's almost 10 am and it still isn't even 50°! So glad my son and I have lots to keep us occupied inside!

Car update 2: After many phone calls today and a lot of back and forth... THEY ARE REPLACING MY ENGINE!!
It is a used engine, but that's to be expected. It has less miles on it than my current engine, and they are giving me a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty on it!! Just waiting for the tow truck!

Today makes 21 years since my dad passed. Sometimes I can't even comprehend how it has been that long. Today is also my brother-in-law's birthday. Normally we would be celebrating that instead, but he passed in July. At least it has made me think of my sister more, and talk to her a bit more too.
