Sew excited to cut into this fabric from Hancock's of Paducah! I received an unexpected quilt order from a friend that needs to be ready before Christmas. I love cutting into new fabric and starting a new project!! #quiltsky

Will have a variety of plush handmade (sewn) owl toys for sale starting tomorrow on my Poshmark closet.
I have the supplies and pattern for hand sewn velveteen rabbits, but don't know if I'll have them done before Christmas. (Yes I have actual velvet for a few)

My latest longarm quilting on a client's quilt. The pantograph pattern is Under the Sea from Urban Elementz. This was perfect for this quilt top! #quiltsky

I had the privilege of joining the Melbourne FL SAQA group for lunch and a photo session this past weekend. I got to have my very first art quilt photographed, along with an older FPP piece and an embroidered piece. I met some amazing artists who were all so encouraging and gracious. #quiltsky

Today would have been Mom's 86th birthday. I truly had the best mom. She taught me so much, but in our current climate, the one that means the most is to stand up for what's right. She was spunky and she was fierce. She was also loving and truly cared about people. Hug someone in her honor!

This Veteran's Day I'm honoring my brother-in-law Jim. He loved his family so much, including my son Tuan. I'm so sad that he passed on July 4th of this year and that I didn't get to tell him goodbye, how much I loved him or how much his love for us meant to me.

Even though I love pinning my quilts to the leaders, I hate pins. Taking the time to pin gives me a bit of Zen. I can focus on the top and backing, think about what I'm going to quilt and enjoy the process..... And then I stick myself with a pin! 😱

SMH. Remind me to not answer comments. There was a question posed, I replied to someone that they missed the point in their response. They then tell me they didn't care about the question...... Then why did you answer? 🙄

I have been asked by friends how applique works on machine embroidery. Here I am trimming fabric on the Turkey Hanger pattern from Sweet Pea Embroidery. I love this pattern, and am really happy with how the finished hanger came out! (Oh & I definitely sped up the video!)

I knew I had a special child the moment my son was born. He was 12 weeks premature & weighed 15 ounces.

Today he turns 25! His smile still steals my heart, his giggles & kisses fill me with joy. I don't know why I was given the gift of being his mom, but I'm so grateful for the last 25 years.

It's currently 67° in Orlando and my babies are enjoying our screened in patio! I've had the sliding glass door open for most of the day and enjoying the weather too!

I DID IT!! This cute bag (pattern from Sweet Pea Machine Embroidery) is done in time for Halloween! 😆

I've tried making this before and screwed it up. And even though this one isn't perfect, I learned so much and am ready to make better ones for next Halloween!!! #machineembroidery

Can't we sue the demolition company for not having the right to have done this? I can't believe it's gone already. 🤬🤬

Whenever I'm sitting at my all purpose table (cutting fabric, sewing, using the computer), I have a foot warmer! Even when I'm hot! 😆😆

He insists on having either his head or his paws on top of my foot.

For this week's #wednesdaywisdom this one really spoke to me. As I get older I realize that real friendships are worth so much more than superficial ones! I love all my friends so much!! 🥰

I had an amazing birthday week and weekend with my husband and son and I wanted to thank everyone who wished me well. I got to sew and quilt to my heart's content. I was able to get a new-to-me embroidery machine out of a very very long layaway and got to play with all its bells and whistles! /1

I absolutely love when I can find a pantograph pattern that fits perfectly with the theme of the quilt. This is the Play Ball pantograph pattern from Urban Elementz on a jersey quilt. The quilt is made up of football and baseball jerseys. PERFECT! #quiltsky

I'm so excited!! Today I get to play with my new to me embroidery machine. I finally paid off the layaway (it took a long time!) and got it delivered this week! It has so many upgrades from my old machine I feel like a queen!! 👸🏽

This year, with the world being a little crazy (ok so we are living in the bizarro world), I decided to do something a little crazy myself. I know we are all hurting, but I thought I'd ask anyway. If you love my work, why not buy me a coffee? 🥰🥰
