I'm so sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing her story. I'm always amazed to hear the stories of new immigrants to Canada, the struggles they face and overcome. I'm glad she was able to come in to her own here. I do think Canada is one of the better places to be a woman. My deepest condolences.

I'm talking about actual books. But they're using Amazon's print-on-demand service. And they're both niche non-fiction books recently published--so they haven't hit the secondary market. I just bought my first e-reader and it's a KOBO, not a kindle, for obvious reasons.

Well, there are two books we couldn't find elsewhere. Both non-fiction, recently published through Amazon's print-on-demand service. Believe me, we're Canadian. We're not even shopping American, let alone Amazon. If there was another way, I would've found it. But both would been from Amazon anyway.

The books we finally broke down and bought are both non-fiction and newly published through Amazon's print-on-demand service. Because they're new, they haven't hit the second hand market yet.
