So does anyone else think that, if we invest our time & energy into Bluessky , as we did for years into Twitter, that we should have a stake in its ownership?

Perhaps it should become a cooperative (a community benefit society) owned by it's members, for community benefit & not be flog offable?
We’ve hatched a plan… it will unfold in the coming months…
Unfortunately, it also suffers from antisocial behaviour and is in need of investment.
It’s a very special place, fantastic heritage, an amazing refuge for nature, and the trees are looking glorious.
This morning spent time with doggy residents, and their humans, in St Bartholomew’s Cemetery.

Yes the CO2 rise 2023-2024 was faster than we predicted at Mauna Loa and was a record rise there - now the WMO confirm the global mean rise was also a record

Also the rate of CO2 rise is now above the IPCC scenarios that limit global warming to 1.5C

One week to go. Let's make it HUGE. A chance to celebrate our diverse city. There is no place for racism, hatred or division in Exeter.
🎾Big shout out to Exeter University Tennis Team who spent an afternoon litter picking & gardening in Rougemont Gardens! The gardens have wonderful trees, roses, ginger, anemones. Antisocial behaviour, and the fear of ASB, deters people, but the more we visit the more ASB is deterred!🫶 #loveExeter
🤸 Ever walked, slogged, up North Street! A bit run down, overshadowed by Guildhall, but a major route... City Centre
/St David's Hill.

Positive, well attended
workshop run by Exeter Civic Society. Cllr James Banyard & I heard great ideas from residents & local biz... worth exploring further!

Great piece by @carolinelucas.bsky.social "It’s hard to see what moral authority Starmer can think he has to try to prevent countries like Iran from pursuing their nuclear ambitions while he upgrades our own." 👏
Why are we commemorating Hiroshima’s 80th anniversary with new nuclear weapons? And why is the Govt backing idea of a glossy new PR campaign to persuade us we need nukes whilst simultaneously trying to block inquiry into impacts of nuclear war?

Why are we commemorating Hiroshima’s 80th anniversary with new nuclear weapons?
The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki should be a reminder of the horrors of nuclear attack – not a chance for Britain to announce it is spending billions on submarine-launched atomic warheads, says ...

@tessread.bsky.social has accused Labour of misleading the public by claiming 60p of every £1 #Exeter lottery ticket goes to good causes as this doesn't account for the costs swallowed up in Council admin fees.

And failing to correct the statement despite several requests to do so.

Patk and ride C bus being only every 20 mins is hopeless, especially when they regularly cancel a service. Used to be every 12mins & needs to be 5 an hour to encourage people to use it & reduce traffic.
Simples, eh?

Ok for those of us used to it like me & thee!
Interesting afternoon at @exeter_phoenix Green Phoenix event. Just seen a great film made by local young people on state of Exeters buses
linktr.ee/bustedfilm Then joined a workshop about Killerton... Guess what the chat is about... No buses to National trust property

🏊‍♀️Labour Executive will tonight decide its fate.
@dianafmoore.bsky.social ~ “Labour are washing their hands of Northbrook pool and users’ needs. They have never explored genuine options for working with the community and are just looking to sink a much valued community asset run down on their watch.”
