I mean, it's a tough act to follow James Cameron (and that's mostly why I didn't rank it higher, can't help but think how well Cameron films action set pieces in particular), but I agree about it being pretty fun.
-instead of about Grace and Dani, and Legion. That also means the target audience is older Terminator fans not those who this would their first movie in the series.
Just to expand on it a bit because I wanted to keep the review focused on Genisys: I think Dark Fate choosing to open with undoing the ending of T2 instead of the classic opening in the post-apocalypse, makes the movie about Sarah Connor (who audiences have not seen in 30 years... if at all)-
Oh, damn, I got them mixed up lol. In that case, the whole thing is pretty rough (except for Ned and Angourie Rice's character, those two are comedic gold).
It's first half is rough AF. Once they are all in Happy's apartment tho, things start looking up and it starts feeling like a real movie, IMO.
However, I kinda agree that Tron Ares flopping can't be blamed on him, but the studio that chose to soft reboot the franchise (one that never was a blockbuster hit) instead of continuing the story of the last entry.
I was thinking about that just this morning. Looking past his IRL weirdness, the guy's always worked in supporting roles and got praise for it but he's never been a leading man.
A decade late sequel that (apparently) didn't even follow the previous movie's story so its fans wouldn't be very interested in it anyway. It's a surprise it did as well as it did.
Much appreciated, coming from you (after revisiting it, I'm tempted to redo it with the updated Steppenwolf design).
He also was my inspiration for my submission to Zack's ZSJL poster contest.
I stand by the idea it's all a matter of visual education. Filmmakers today seemingly are just not interested in exploring the potential for visual expression on the medium.
Happy you enjoyed this, man... I somehow couldn't get into it despite it looking like it was made for me.
His handle is great lol
As if Larry Fong following him wasn't enough, I think now we have definitive proof this is the real Zack.
On the bright side, it shows how it looks like to have a studio supporting its headline filmmaker (him being co-CEO must help). But yeah, let us take a breather for a second.

Doesn't help that Candyman was often referred to as "Jordan Peele's Candyman"
Three words: Bilateral Investment Treaties.
Also, the US just bullied Panama from stopping making business with China and are threatening to invade Venezuela.
I mean... to star in a show called The Witcher and NOT expect Geralt to be the lead is kind of wild, tbh (and I say this as someone who has been kinder on this show than most).
