Pat Naicker wrapped up the presentations by sharing the learnings from South Africa's Disability Grant, including some of the challenges that the South African Social Security Agency are trying to address.
Salote Biukoto presents how Fiji's Disability Allowance Scheme is empowering persons with disabilities. "Participants shared that they can choose how to spend money now and join social gatherings too".
Stephen Kidd begins the conversation by presenting numbers from a global perspective. While the coverage gap for disability benefits between high-income and low/middle-income countries is vast, he presents the numbers and figures showing the global feasibility of comprehensive benefits.
