#Trump issues stmt saying US carried out a "lethal kinetic" military op in int'l water near #Venezuela today that allegedly was "Designated Terrorist Organization (DTO) conducting narcotrafficking."

Six people in the vessel were killed. No US military members were injured.

Trump stmt: "Under my Standing Authorities as Commander-in-Chief, this morning, the Secretary of War, ordered a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel affiliated with a Designated Terrorist Organization (DTO) conducting narcotrafficking in the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility — just off the Coast of Venezuela. Intelligence confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics, was associated with illicit narcoterrorist networks, and was transiting along a known DTO route. The strike was conducted in International Waters, and six male narcoterrorists aboard the vessel were killed in the strike. No U.S. Forces were harmed. Please don't be crude. Yes, WaPo has lost digital subscriptions. That's not the point of my post.

As I've said multiple times on here: The job of the top editor at a major news outlet is to be a firewall protecting the newsroom from ownership. That way, the newsroom is independent. WaPo is safe.
