Game 52: Super Monkey Ball 2

I probably played part or most of this one through a future game, but never played it on the gamecube before. Quite a bit harder than i expected, especially with 1-3 levels in each of the last 4-5 worlds. Definitely got hands.

Story a bit outlandish and quirky though.
Game 51: The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

Overally, I enjoyed the game but i'd probably put it lower on my tier list for the series. While at first a neat experience, the overworld sailing got a bit stale, so i ended up skipping 5 heart containers.

I did like the graphics and ending in particular.
Game 50: Metroid Prime

Originally played years ago but never beat so gave it another shot. Really enjoyed it. Some say the controls aren't great but my only real complaint is the camera sensitivity, though there were instances where the camera itself was clunky with close-range targets.
It's ok, everyone else did too apparently.
Game 49: Hollow Knight

Looks and sounds good but controlled horribly for me. Probably the most unreliable controls i've had in a metroidvania and i've played the original metroid running below 30 fps on an emulator. Got 98% completion and considering my experience, i don't really expect to return.
Game 48: Persona Q

A decent game that is completely and utterly betrayed by the final boss fight. Uses every single annoying JRPG mechanic in one fight.

Back to back bosses with a drawn out phase 1 (rapidly regen body parts protecting weak spot) and instant death countdown on phase 2.
Game 47: Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

Though i did 100%, i thought the game was only alright, not spectacular like Lies of P was.

It's an interesting soulslike for sure but i felt like there were a lot of underlying issues in the combat balancing and enemy behavior and it kinda just compunded each NG+
Game 46: Metaphor Refantazio

Fun game, wasn't sure i'd like it but i ended up enjoying it enough to 100%. I don't like it as much as Persona 3, though i did find the characters engaging.

I can definitely see a planned sequel, though i don't know if that's planned or not.
Game 45: RoboCop: Rogue City

As someone who's never seen the movies, the complaints that the plot is dull or derivative fly over my head. Honestly thought this was a really cool and fun game. If the first move has a similar tone, i might watch it. Thought the robocop oneliners were kinda funny.
Game 44: Stalker 2

Super fun and gorgeous game. Took just around 190-200 hrs for me to finish.

I do think the game economy is pretty rough, but it's still pretty doable. Combat was fun and difficult, and never really had an issue with bullet sponges.

I did not like the bosses too much though.
Haru Urara doesnt have college debt threatening their way of life. x.x
Age Verification? I remember watching Kim Possible while the dial up modem in the computer room was doing its signature connecting tone.
Game 43: Call of Duty 3

Easily my least favorite world war 2 COD. Was made in 8 months and it's pretty rough mechanically. Environmental hitboxes and dialogue echoing are probably the biggest areas of roughness in the game.

I can tell Treyarch used some of the same code in WaW...grenade spam.
Game 42: Call of Duty: WW2

I thought it was a good, albeit quick campaign. prob could have used another mission or two towards the end. I liked how it brought back the health kit system from the original call of duty. Multiplayer is still fun, but more frustrating than i remembered. Zombies gud too
Game 41: FBC Firebreak

Honestly, i really liked it. I think the core gameplay is very solid and it looks and sounds good.

I do think it could benefit from another class or two and another couple maps. Playing via matchmaking, i mostly got the first mission, though i don't know others' experience.
Game 40: Pokemon Conquest

Took a little while longer than I was expecting, but finally beat the main story. Simple hybrid of tactics or fire emblem plus pokemon. Generally not too challenging either. There's alot of post-game content that I may or may not get to, depending on my mood.
I had the same idea yesterday too 😅
Game 39: W40K: Space Marine Mastercrafted

Fun game but also a little frustrating due to minor clunkiness as well as lack of invulnerability during the 5 second long execution sequences. Plus no attack cancelling so you can easily get killed by certain enemies.
Game 38: Dordogne

Short and sweet game. I liked the visual style and the mysterious charm of the story, even if it was on the shorter side. The actions from putting a key in a door to shaking a jar were pretty neat. Not something i've really seen in games and it added a little immersion.
Game 37: LEGO Pirates of the Carribean (3DS)

I had a pretty fun time with this one. First LEGO game i've played in a while and thought it was pretty good. Though it felt slightly repetitive in spots, i thought the game itself was enjoyable to play. I did learn that i had some of the films mixed up
Game 36: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity

I remember not liking this one very much back in the day and replaying it reminded me of why i didn't like it. Can only do one quest a day as opposed to one quest a floor in yhe previous ones. Plus,it forces you through the story unlike the others
Game 35: Doom 2016

Pretty good game, thought feels slow, especially comin off of Dark Ages and a little Doom 1. Got to see the glory kill system again after most of it was gone in Dark Ages, but the minimal traversal abilities really makes a noticeable shift in pace in retrospect.
Game 34: Aliens Infestation

While i do wish it could bave been fleshed out more and some boss fights and UI reworked, it was still largely a fun experience. Somewhat challenging, but also somewhat short. Def give it an 8/10 or so.

Maybe some day we will get another Aliens metroidvania. 😥
Game 33: Metroid: Samus Returns

The game looked really good. An awful lot of controls that border on burdensome in some spots imo, but it was still really fun to play.

Personally, i enjoyed the lack of shinespark because it made getting 100% a lot more possible for me.

Overall a really good game
Game 32: Doom: The Dark Ages

While i found this game to feel pretty easy most of the game, i still had a lot of fun with it. Being a prequel, i expected it to have more of an emphasis on lorebuilding than the other two and also a trade-off in gameplay as a result.

I miss the extensive glory kills
