Didn't China buy an earlier iteration of Nvidia?
No matter... it will have been disintegrated (or whatever the process is called) by now, and China will be working on an upgraded upgrade...
It's quite old-plate photographic in some ways - frozen, no movement...
Not sure the present is being especially kind...
Tucker Carlson gave him a proper drubbing, not long ago.
I spend longer on this site than on the other, but I will continue to visit the other while those whose communication I enjoy remain only there.
Not strictly true.
While I spend longer on this site than on the other, I will continue to visit the other while those whose communication I enjoy remain only there.
That should alarm everyone.
Taxes can also help drive the economy! And can contribute to much-needed redistribution of wealth...
I may dredge a few more from my memory... like

There once was a lady from Exeter
so pretty that men craned their necks at her.
One was even so brave
as to take out and wave
the distinguishing mark of his sex at her.
I have to say that it was my very dear departed lover who imparted that gem... I doubt it was penned by him... but he did mix with some very adept wordsters, back in the day...
When Titian was mixing rose madder,
His model posed nude on a ladder.

Suggested coition,
So he leapt up the ladder and had her.
Two heartwarming & serendipitous reminders of my faraway youth 🙏

After walking on air all the way home, I came across this interview. What a woman!

Thanks for your explanation.
I weep for US "democracy"...
I know it's not great in Europe either; but at least our politicians don't harp on about it - as if it really still existed...
Not American but from what I can tell, it seems pretty easy to research the funding of any candidate.
Seems to me that no decent democrat (from any party) should vote for anyone accepting AIPAC (or adjacent) funding...
Great hopes from another desperate continent 🙏🏼
No good just lazily railing against "republicans and conservatives".
Each one in each constituency must be named & shamed according to what they have been recorded as saying.
And the person standing in your constituency needs to be positive about better policies to improve people's lives...
Agree generally - but only a very few EU countries have shown any independent thinking:
-Italy's dockers 👏👏👏🏽
-Spain
-Austria???
Them's the breaks in this neoliberal capitalist world.
It stinks.
We all know there's a better, fairer option - but on the other hand, very few helpful, decent people can/want/afford to run for office...
"The corrupt complaining about corruption" is straight out of Israel's playbook.
I don't know the figures for UK - but I do know what you mean by corporate welfare.
What I don't understand is why politicians let it continue... well, yes, I do understand, actually: the corporations fund pliant politicians.
Good lord.
Kate Middleton's fave designer created a collection for John Lewis dept store in Britain.
I bought a dress from that collection on ebay to wear for my wedding in 2015.
Same here. I stopped watching when I could no longer bear that Robin man's bullying demeanour.
I watched Fiona Bruce *once*.
It's just become performative unpleasantness.
Medieval crowd affirms the legitimacy of grammar
I'm starting to feel that in general, it's not leaders, or potential leaders, we should worry about - but their dangerous "entourages".
