Not so fast. 🙂 Landau’s was a performan for the ages, yeah… but I find it interesting that it’s about Lugosi as a young adult (and probably his career). Even more interesting to me, the script is by the team who wrote Ed Wood. I’d say it has a half-decent chance of coming out well.

#Svengoolie is doing something smart this week: They're showing "Young Frankenstein" before "Bride of Frankenstein."

Why is it smart? If you've seen "Young" but not "Bride," "Bride" will seem hilarious to you--and it shouldn't. It has black humor, but is one of the greatest horror films ever made.

I had a friend who fervently believed that rights are inherent, inborn and absolutely owed to us. I said, "Well... that sounds nice. But the truth is, you can only expect such rights as you're granted by someone with control over you."
