One more sleep to go! Open Studios North Fife starts tomorrow at 10am on Saturday 3rd May. My venue no 75 in Balmerino is open 10am - 6pm so that is an EXTRA hour.

Moscow! Every winter I trap woodcock under licence and they are quickly and safely measured, fitted with a ring and released. One was recovered in Latvia and news on this one just arrived- a bird recovered near Moscow 843 days later 2617 km away, #artandscience#woodcock
Wrens! Will be on show in my Open Studios show 3-5 May as part of @openstudiosnorthfife What an amazing song these feisty little birds have. I just love their high-energy and lively character.
My big oil painting " The Aird Road, Skye" has landed in its new home in the USA. Delighted to see it hanging in such a lovely setting and the new owners are over the moon.
AMAZING day on the Treshnish Isles with Turus Mara. Sketching puffins in blazing sunshine. Seals, sea eagles and great skuas too. Highly, highly recommended.
