The First Minister is clear his party must win a majority of MSPs at the next Holyrood election, and he's tabled a motion at conference today to that effect.

John Swinney has been accused of failing to realise the "urgency" of the need to close schools during the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020.

Swinney, who was serving as Education Secretary in 2020, told the UK Covid Inquiry that shuttering schools was "not our preferred scenario".
