I said this over 8 years ago. But it is one of the reasons I can no longer stand in church knowing that 81% of the other Christians in the pews hold this belief. It demolishes their Christian witness in my soul. (I love Jesus, but I am a "none".)

As a Jesus follower, it’s hard to see Christians admit that God would ask you to care for one another, then label it “socialism” with disgust in their voice.
A Christianity that gets offended at the idea of a society using its resources to care for one another is a Christianity that has abandoned Jesus a long time ago.

Believing in democracy, I've voted every election since I cast my 1st for Carter. What I didn't believe, is that 250 yrs of that democracy could be destroyed by the election of one evil, ignorant, putin-owned traitor in a matter of months. Is it any wonder anxiety is on the rise (including mine)?

There's so much evil intent in this republican administration, sometimes I'm at a loss for how to pray. I pray strength & protection for the helpers, usually. And turning to one of David's prayers in the Psalms sometimes help.
