Supreme Cruelty: A Plea to the Court’s Conscience
Text SIGN PBRGJJ to 50409 — Your recent emergency order halting full SNAP payments during the government shutdown places this Court at the center of a growing constitutional and moral crisis. Issued late on a Friday night, without argument or opinion, the order once again uses the “shadow docket” to shape national policy in darkness. The lower courts found that Congress had already appropriated funds for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and that the administration’s refusal to release those funds violated both statutory authority and the duty to protect the public interest. Yet this Court chose to intervene—not to clarify the law, but to pause relief for 41 million Americans who depend on those benefits to eat. Under traditional precedent, a stay should issue only when the applicant shows a likelihood of success, irreparable harm, and that the balance of equities favors intervention. The government’s claim of “irreparable harm” here—that it might not be able to claw back money once poor Americans receive food aid—turns equity on its head. Feeding the hungry cannot be construed as harm. Justice Jackson’s narrowly drawn administrative stay, limited to 48 hours after the First Circuit’s ruling, reflects respect for process and a good-faith effort to prevent a worse outcome—a permanent freeze by the full Court. But the broader trend is unmistakable: the Court’s growing reliance on emergency orders, without transparency or reasoning, undermines faith in its impartiality and tarnishes its legitimacy. This Court has long recognized, in cases from Winter v. NRDC to Nken v. Holder, that equitable relief must weigh the human cost of delay. The harm here is not theoretical—it is hunger, deprivation, and despair among millions of Americans, including children, the elderly, veterans, and the disabled. The Court should act swiftly to restore the lower courts’ orders, reaffirm that Congress’s appropriations must be honored, and reject the dangerous idea that executive preference can override the basic right to food. To preserve both its integrity and the rule of law, this Court must step out of the shadows and let the light of justice reach the people it serves.

🖋️ “The American People Deserve the Truth About the President’s Health” hit 2,000 signers!

The American People Deserve the Truth About the President’s Health
Text SIGN PFNCHI to 50409 — It is time for Congress to act in defense of transparency and national security. The American people have the right to know that their president is physically and mentally capable of leading the nation. In 2025 alone, President Donald Trump has undergone two hospital visits, including an unexplained MRI in October, and has been described by the White House only as being in “exceptional health.” Yet over recent weeks, Americans have witnessed troubling signs: visibly fatigued and sweating through a 60 Minutes interview, slurred and repetitive speech in video statements, and public confusion between South Africa and South America during a major address. He has also been observed falling asleep in multiple public settings and meetings, including during a recent Oval Office policy event—episodes documented by major news outlets and repeatedly noted by attendees. While the White House has denied these reports, the pattern is visible to anyone watching. On November 5, the president released more than thirty online posts in under three hours, some apparently recorded in dim surroundings where he read haltingly from his own remarks, at times threatening foreign nations and calling for the end of the filibuster. These are not partisan observations—they are matters of public record. The contrast between official assurances and what citizens can plainly see has shaken public confidence. When the health of the commander-in-chief is in question, the stakes are not merely political; they are constitutional. I urge Congress to hold public hearings and request sworn testimony from the White House physician, independent medical experts, and relevant Cabinet officials. The objective is not to stigmatize illness, but to ensure that the government of the United States remains stable, transparent, and accountable. The American people deserve to know that our leader is fully capable of performing the duties of the presidency. Silence and secrecy serve no one—not the administration, not the country, and not democracy itself.

It couldn't be clearer. The Trump Administration MUST use contingency reserves for SNAP benefits during the shutdown. It is the law & precedent.

The Administration's choice treats people like political pawns rather than people who simply need help affording groceries.
The Trump Administration’s assertion that it can't use SNAP’s contingency reserves for SNAP benefits is contrary to:
▪️The plain language of the law
▪️Their own (now deleted) shutdown plan
▪️Guidance from prior Administrations

We have the receipts:
SNAP’s Contingency Reserve Is Available for Regular SNAP Benefits, as USDA and OMB Have Ruled in Past
The Administration must use all available options to fund November benefits for the 1 in 8 people in the U.S. who need SNAP to afford their grocery bill.

To clarify, the United States has 134 million dollars to send troops to LA to stifle dissent, but no money for food or healthcare.

Got it.
