I normally live in the real world but I like to escape to the 3D printing world where conventional rules don’t apply and your thoughts can become a reality.

My family has been wanting a new star for years so I finally designed one. It prints in multi parts in vase mode so its clear and doesn't require supports. If you want to print one for your tree, its free on Printables.

I think gift box #23 has some bridging @gregsaunier.bsky.social would appreciate.

I took a vacation day to work on gift box #24!🤘 I want to see what would happen if #1 and #7 got freaky and had a baby.

To bad a important work meeting popped up this morning so I'm almost four work hours in on my day off, but now its time to have a blast designing this thing!

Gift box #22 is on @thangs3d.bsky.social. When TJ opened this one he said "Man, there is a lot of ways to open a gift box!" 😁
I decided to make a second version of this box too. One version you push the side to open it, the other twists. The snap is so satisfying.

I made Agen Kolar’s collapsing lightsaber but the stl's are split up so you can also make Shaak Ti's as well. It's designed to print a few different ways depending on the type of printer you have too.

After #21 gift boxes I finally got smart enough to label them. I guess I need to go back and do the original ones too....

BTW... This @sovol.bsky.social Forest Rainbow PLA makes for some amazing looking gift boxes.

The first gift box of 2025! 🎁Its #21 and it's much easier to open if you have four hands, or a friend to help you. If you don't have any friends, there is a second version that can be opened alone.

This modular display utilizes a cut to length LED strip which allows you to build a display from two to as many lightsabers you want. Mine holds 25!

That feeling every time I make a new lightsaber to add to the collection.😁

I made a single collection for all twenty of my Puzzle Presents on Printable's which is now 30% off for their Black Friday sale. These things make the best gifts, just throw some candy or some other prints inside.

I had to share these pictures I took of Avairyn printed in Protopasta Pineapple Smoothie, Orange Smoothie, and Seamfoam green.

This was a fun change, designing a sword without all the constraints of a collapsing blade. I'm naming it Avairy, I was going for a zelda'ish theme. It can be printed with either a multi-color or a single color printer.
Download it from Thangs.

Trying something new! 😇 A mini sword without a collapsible blade. 🤯It was a fun change, not to have the constraints of a collapsing blade like I normally do. Who am I kidding, I will probably make a version of this sword with a collapsing blade as well... 🤣

You would think this would get old at some point but it only gets more funner. When I saw this sword from Dark Soul's 3, I had to make a collapsing version of it. It turned out much more gooder then expected. 😃

You get a Darksaber, you get a Darksaber, everyone gets a Darksaber!!!

It took me a while to figure out how to make the pommel removeable and have it print without supports, but I figured it out. The collapsing Darksaber is finally ready to download!

Printed in @polymaker.bsky.social and Atomic UV Yellow PETG.

But how do you remove the blade, you ask?
October 17, 2025 at 1:27 PM
Coming soon ™️ No supports 😎

You cant beat that combination of @polymaker.bsky.social Metallic black, silver, and Chrome PLA+.

Ventress's second lightsaber from the Clone Wars. It also connects to Maul's saber just like in his fight against Asoka in the final season.

It took me forever to figure out how to make the blades removable on Excalibur. I'm so happy the idea popped in my head after looking at it countless times.

Printed in the only Metallic PLA good enough to forge Excalibur, @polymaker.bsky.social

How disappointing is it when you are waiting for that last component for a project that you can’t finish it without. I now have a spot for the Nano, DFplayer, and compactor, but am waiting on a small protoboard for power distribution.

The next step on Rey's blaster is done. I have spent a crazy amount of time making it all fits and is easier to build. Now I have a place for the battery and its charger, voltage converter, and a speaker. It prints in one piece without supports. The final step is the cover.
August 22, 2025 at 3:15 PM
This is getting exciting! The barrel LED's for the NN-14 blaster look like they are going to work well. The leds mount on a insert with a dovetail groove so it can slide in the barrel and is then trapped by the threaded nozzle keeping it all together. 😎
August 19, 2025 at 2:12 PM
The first step is finally done! I'm adding electronics to my NN-14 blaster. Now, we have a trigger and a on/off switch. I had to get fancy with bridging. Its going to be so much more awesomer with lights and sound. Working on the LED in the barrel next!
