It took me a while to figure out how to make the pommel removeable and have it print without supports, but I figured it out. The collapsing Darksaber is finally ready to download!

It took me forever to figure out how to make the blades removable on Excalibur. I'm so happy the idea popped in my head after looking at it countless times.

How disappointing is it when you are waiting for that last component for a project that you can’t finish it without. I now have a spot for the Nano, DFplayer, and compactor, but am waiting on a small protoboard for power distribution.

The next step on Rey's blaster is done. I have spent a crazy amount of time making it all fits and is easier to build. Now I have a place for the battery and its charger, voltage converter, and a speaker. It prints in one piece without supports. The final step is the cover.

This is getting exciting! The barrel LED's for the NN-14 blaster look like they are going to work well. The leds mount on a insert with a dovetail groove so it can slide in the barrel and is then trapped by the threaded nozzle keeping it all together. 😎

The first step is finally done! I'm adding electronics to my NN-14 blaster. Now, we have a trigger and a on/off switch. I had to get fancy with bridging. Its going to be so much more awesomer with lights and sound. Working on the LED in the barrel next!

So... I mixed it up and designed a NN-14 blaster in the same style as I design my lightsabers. It has a working trigger, prints with minimum pieces, no supports, in full color with a singe color printer, and easily assembled.

I've gotten a bunch of requests for Master Sol's lightsaber. At first I was meh, but after designing it I really grew to appreciate its details. Now its one of my favorites.

Its hard to beat @polymaker.bsky.social Metallic PLA+ Chrome and Black combination.

I finally figured out how to make a collapsing Buster sword with a replaceable blade! 😲The rivets screw in and trap the blade to the guard. This sword is so much fun, and available right now on @thangs3d.bsky.social!
