SCOOP—In August, nearly 200 current/former FEMA staffers published the Katrina Declaration, a whistleblower letter detailing all the dangers posed by current leadership.

All current employees were put on indefinite leave, and now I've learned one has been fired in violation of federal protections:
FEMA employee terminated for signing whistleblower letter
It appears to be a major violation of federal whistleblower protections and constitutional rights.

I was able to reach a staff member at @markwarner.bsky.social office. I hope he will belatedly take action on the use of commercial ID data for government purposes with inaccurate and unlawful facial ID searches via an app being used by ICE.

Calling @kaine.senate.gov back during business hours since he doesn't have voicemail after hours (like it's 1960 or something). But, the office was busy, so I had to leave a message. Deeply discouraged about my representation.

NEW: @propublica.org investigated the Chicago apartment raid where kids were zip-tied and citizens detained for hours. They find:

- NONE of the arrested were criminally charged
- NO evidence the building was "filled with TdA terrorists."
- ZERO legitimate reason for DHS to rappel from a Blackhawk.

You probably saw videos of a nighttime raid in Chicago. Agents rappelling from a helicopter, bursting down doors, questioning brown-skinned immigrants.

We investigated -- and found little evidence to support the government’s claims about Tren de Aragua.
