“i lost my son” instead of “i haven’t seen my son in months” because it’s as if chris has actually died. eddie’s barely spoken about him, he sadly looks at photos on the mantle of him, he still decorates the house for one of chris’s favorite holidays, he celebrates his birthday when he’s not there…

this could just be eddie being pathetic, but the fact that he has nothing but wonderful, uplifting things to say about chris, even though he’s been gone for an excessive 6 months, shows how great of a father he actually is and i wish he could see that
