I dunno how many people have seen the Parappa Anime opening redone with Touhou characters or not. It's such a specific crossover that I'm blown away I'm seeing people draw stuff like this. Makes me smile.

I think the issue with the D&D "Mages can bend reality, warriors can only swing a sword." Problem is that it's mostly up to the DM to hold them up to the same standard of badassary. This means needing to equip your martials with cool feats and items, which isn't thought about in character creation.

I tried getting back into Yu-Gi-Oh on Masterduels. Played spellbooks and Traptrix, and then didn't like the vibes and left. It doesn't have the kind of build diversity that I like, and nothing beat planting a full row of facedown cards as a kid and making someone anxious about man eater bug.

Four years ago, I had planned to do a D&D campaign with my friends. I quickly piecemealed some stuff together and took inspiration from their characters and my own interests, but ultimately we didn't get to play. I'm still world building that setting for the hell of it today.
