Claude Code: Good — created 47 active slash commands, 23 specialized agents, and 7 reusable skills. Better — added a token optimizer MCP that uses my local inference server to use semantic relationships across a codebase and reduce token use by 70% for some search, debugging, refactoring tasks.

Your professional identity shouldn't be built around tasks—it should be built around problems you solve. People who define themselves by what they DO (tasks) struggle when AI automates. Those who define themselves by what they ACHIEVE (outcomes) adapt.

Professionals who feel the most threatened by AI are the least willing to play with it. This reaction then accelerates their marginalization. We can't address AI adoption without first addressing identity concerns. Technical training isn't enough.

Fun with MCP servers and Claude Desktop: playing with reducing context window tokens used by tool and workflow preferences by adding their descriptions as MCP tools. This uses prompt caching and cuts token use by up to 90%.

My MCP tools now hit local endpoints for embeddings and NLP tasks instead of burning Claude's context window. Save the tokens for actual reasoning. Save the API costs for work that matters. Let the GPU earn its keep. #ml #ai #workflows #business

Dear K-12 Teacher or Instructional Designers,

Have any of you tried the Learning Commons Knowledge Graph? I'd love to hear about your experiences with the tool.

You can try it out in Claude using its connector. learningcommons.org/for-develope...

Built an machine learning inference server for one reason: Claude Desktop was eating my context window alive. Every semantic search, every classification task—that's tokens (and $$$) I don't get back. #ml #ai #design

Best 3 days in the computer science program I started in October — the day that: 1) list comprehensions made sense; 2) my first MCP server worked; 3) I managed to make Claude Code work in an dev container. #MCP #python #workflowautomation

AI in education isn't about replacement—it's about amplification. The leaders succeeding are those who understand both the promise and the pitfalls. Equity must be designed in from day one, not retrofitted later. #AIEducation #EducationalEquity

UF’s new mRNA cancer vaccine supercharges immunotherapy in mice—shrinking and sometimes eradicating tumors—by “waking up” the immune system rather than targeting cancer directly. This is why we don’t cut exploratory mRNA vaccine research. #ScienceWins www.livescience.com/health/cance...
'Universal' cancer vaccine heading to human trials could be useful for 'all forms of cancer'
A new mRNA-based vaccine triggers a response from the innate immune system to help arm the body against cancer, a mouse study finds. It's now in early human trials.

Strangely satisfying to hit my Claude Opus limit in Claude Code. (But nowhere near as satisfying as when Python list comprehensions and decorators started making sense.)

Ask these three questions:

1) What qualitative research explains what's happening?

2) What quantitive research explains how often it's happening?

3) What qualitative research explains why it's happening?
