I'd submit that the Stars' results so far, even in Central play, matter a lot less than setting the right tone early in the Gulutzan era.

It's only been a few shifts, but Emil Hemming looks way more comfortable in the AHL than the CHL, as odd as that sounds (granted; not as odd with respect to typical development, but still).

Postgame quicktake: terrible look for the Dallas Stars. Good win. The recipe for nearly blowing a four-goal lead is less repeatable than the recipe for lots of quality even-strength offense. Gulutzan won't be happy, as he shouldn't, but that's still a win over a divisional opp.
