I took another picture of Comet c/2025 A6 (Lemmon) without using my star tracker - just an 8 second exposure
It wa supposed to be cloudy but the sky was completely clear.
I took a picture of Comet c/2025 A6 (Lemmon). It is said to be visible with the naked eye - I can't see it without binoculars.

Well, I did have my cheap camera with my 18-200 mm lens mounted on my cheap star tracker (iOptron).

So it was a bit more than just a "quick snap" . Without the star tracker the comet was just a green dot. People who have iPhones or Goggle Pixels often get better pictures than my setup...
Sure, go ahead.

There are so many better photos out there, I'm surprised anyone would be interested in a photo from a cheap camera...
I took a photo of Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) with my Canon Rebel camara on the 16th at 8pm EDT.

Any later and it drops down below the wall of tall trees at the North-West of our farm. Any earlier and it's washed out by the setting sun...
Very nice! I see a small satellite as well... I see more of them all the time.
5:30 EDT Clear and calm here in Southern Ontario - took a photo of Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon).

The comet is getting brighter and I can just make out a bit of a tail with my modest equipment...
Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) is getting a bit brighter and starting to show a faint tail with my very modest equipment.

I saw 4 or 5 meteors on Tuesday morning from the general direction of Orion betwen 5:00 and 6:00 am- could those have been early Orionids?
Very Clear sky this morning - took some photos of Orion, The Orion Nebula, Jupiter Castor and Pollux and Venus just before daybreak...
I had a very clear sky this morning - I wasn't sure where Comet c/2025 A6 was so I took a photo of that area of the sky with my 18mm lens. I captured a tiny green dot left of the lower constellation Lynx.
I might try again with a bigger lens or I will wait until later in October...
Is Uranus in that picture somewhere down in the lower left?
Nice picture David.

I tried a picture of Star Trails from my backyard on May 15th this year - I seem to have captured a small plane trail and a small meteor as well...
I looked at the actual pixels of the Satrun/Neptune photo before it was compressed and I could just make out Saturn's moon Titan...
focus could have been better...
I took a quick shot of Saturn and Neptune last night around midnight with my 18-200mm lens... had to wait a bit for clouds to clear away.
The last time I tried to get a photo of Saturn was Jan 9th, 2000. I held a 3 megapixel camera up to the eyepiece of my telescope.

I could see quite a bit of detail with my eyes but my photos never capture the details... I should try it again, Saturn is high and bright in the early morning.
Misty this morning but I captured Jupiter,Venus the Moon and Mercury anyway.

The ISS cruised through everything too, from the Pleiades down to the vicinity of the Moon.

It was misty this morning at my place - I still managed to get a photo of Jupiter, Venus, the Moon and Mercury...
I'm in Canada - I didn't see a paywall, never have on BBC.
Nice and clear night and morning for some photography here in southern Ontario.

A quick picture of the Milky Way at around 11:00 pm EDT

In the morning, caught Jupiter, Venus and tiny Mercury at around 5:20am EDT. Took a little closeup of Mercury and then a photo of the waning Moon.
Venus, Jupiter and tiny Mercury just above the clouds - Aug 18th 5:20am EDT

I found a spot out in the orchard with a bit of a view of the horizon. A nice clear morning...
Almost daybreak, 5:45am EDT Aug 16th - can still see Venus and Jupiter.

Can just make out the bright stars Castor and Pollux on the left and Betelguese on the right.

A little cloudy and hazy this morning.

I managed to take only a couple of photos before the clouds moved in for the rest of the morning.

Jupter, Venus and Orion rising at around 4:30am EDT

And a rather poor zoom in of Jupiter with moons and Venus...
Jupiter and Venus - Aug 11th 4:30am EDT - The sky was clear for a change and is supposed to be clear the next 2 mornings.

Caught 3 of Jupiter's moons in the one photo

The Waning Gibbous Moon was right behind me so I swung the camera around and took a quick photo...
Fairly dark skies at my place in rural Ontario. I had to wait until 5:30 am EDT for some clouds to move away from Jupiter and Venus.

Warm and humid this morning with a haze of widfire smoke (Canada is on fire). I took a photo as the sun was starting to lighten the sky...
