Lesson learned: Deleting a yarn.lock file is a great way to waste a weekend, especially when a recent upgrade to Babel corrupts code generation by the Metro bundler.
My advice to all who use Babel: upgrade to 7.29.0 with care! I downgraded to 7.28.6 to save my sanity.

Is it just me, or have the festive tins of sweets we get each year, namely Quality Street and Roses, been getting steadily worse? They don't taste anything like chocolate anymore and have this strange extra taste, like they've been left open to the air for too long. They seem cheap.
