Let’s be ready to call them out when they choose to “support” us all over again. Fuck em.
Fuck ‘em. If they truly believe in the importance of Pride, and wanted to really show support for the LGBTQ community (and their employees), they wouldn’t be rolling back their support.
Revealed: how big businesses are rolling back public support for Pride
Guardian analysis of 20 major companies in UK and US shows mentions of Pride on social media have fallen substantially in past two years

If you think this is about free speech - rather than a wilful goading by money and power of a screwed over minority - just ask yourself how the media would cover this story if Alice Sullivan was an anti-semite and these were Jewish students rightly protesting at her being invited onto their campus.
Total gaslighting. Anti-trans activist; chooses to speak in person, provoking students who want to protect trans rights; they exercise their freedom of speech to tell her she isn't wanted; she gets to speak anyway; the BBC dutifully platforms her again; and now she threatens to sue everyone.

Got out of bed at 10:00

This is progress for me. If I stay any longer, fatigue kicks in and I’d probably stay there until 1pm

Also screw the BBC for its naked agenda. It refused to carry a hugely expensive first ever YouGov survey we commissioned showing how awful trans lives in the UK have become because it was "not strong enough" but there's no piece of anti-trans hatred too petty for it to platform.

Only just got up for breakfast. I went to bed around 12 hours ago

It’s ridiculous that my legs ache, possibly from walking 20 mins each way into town and back yesterday afternoon.

Still tired.

Soup is a success! Definitely making this again! Pity the Daikon/White Radish isn’t readily available nearby??
I’m done in. Walked to town and back for a couple of things I forgot to buy (only to find I now need more cooking oil 😒)

Made a Pork Rib & Daikon soup with carrots & shiitake mushrooms. Smells lovely. I like to think mum & dad would approve. Or generally just laugh 🤷🏼‍♂️

Either way my dinner is ready

"Protect women" if and only if accords with both Murdoch's business and political interests.
On David Walliams: The Daily Mail reveals that “showbusiness reporters at The Sun were told to drop negative stories about Walliams because both that newspaper and HarperCollins are owned by Rupert Murdoch's NewsUK, even sharing offices near London Bridge.”

I can’t believe people don’t know how to use self service efficiently at supermarkets.

Watching swathes of people scan everything and once they’ve paid only then do they *think* to pack everything afterwards…..

@dukeofpreston.bsky.social @davidjgp1983.bsky.social in a week I’ll have completed the full run of PCBH. It’s interesting watching it again 34 or so years later, I actually don’t remember most of it, and what I do remember isn’t how I thought it was!
