Spain’s 2026 Eurovision boycott of Israel isn’t just politics—it echoes centuries of antisemitism. From forced conversions pogroms and the 1492 expulsion to Franco’s propaganda and modern racism, Spain has long targeted Jews. More of Spain's history of Jew Hatred open.substack.com/pub/darren41...
Spain’s Eurovision Boycott Threat: A Familiar Story of Antisemitism Dressed as Politics
Spain’s public broadcaster RTVE has voted to withdraw from the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest if Israel — the Jewish State, home to half the world’s Jews — is allowed to participate.

As Chris Hedges warns in American Fascists, some Christians adopt authoritarianism cloaked in faith. When religion is fused with nationalism and fear, it can justify cruelty toward the marginalized—framing exclusion and violence as divine duty rather than moral failure.
Having grown up with Harry P****,* I was deeply disappointed and disturbed by the hateful, exclusionary views associated with its creator. Once someone is aware of what she stands for, continuing to support her work makes it hard to see them in the same light
If you have trans or LGBTQ friends or family and still vote Republican thinking it’s “just politics,” you’re ignoring how your choices affect the people you love. Supporting your community means protecting them—anything else is selfish and blind to their reality.
Thanks for this share of Lynn Conway. Her legacy is not only in technology but in the hope and visibility she gave to future generations. 🌟
Mad love and endless props to Layshia Clarendon—a trailblazer on and off the court. First openly trans and non-binary athlete in the WNBA, fierce advocate for LGBTQ+ an inspiration to us all to live authentically and fight for equity. 🏳️‍⚧️💪🏀 #LGBTQ #transrightsarehumanrights #WNBA
It’s rare to see young artists like Shawn Mendes speak out against antisemitism—many fear career fallout for speaking truth to power amid relentless propaganda bots, while others chase clout by jumping on the “Free Palestine” bandwagon for likes and follows instead of confronting hate
The Democratic tent is a diverse coalition of marginalized communities fighting to be seen. Our leaders may not check every box or perfectly align with each cause, but tearing them down only weakens us. When we bash our own, we hand the Far Right the chance to crush us all.

All this noise—Ashli Babbitt, golden ballrooms, military theatrics, and third-term fantasies—is distraction. The real goal is power consolidation: erase diverse beliefs, enforce extremist biblical rule, and dismantle democracy. We must stay focused and resist authoritarian creep
We got Jamie Lee Curtis, Charlize Theron, Sigourney Weaver, Robert De Niro, Annette Bening, Warren Beatty, Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, Dwyane Wade, Megan Rapinoe, Candace Parker, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Tim Walz (Governor), Gretchen Whitmer (Governor), Cyndi Lauper, Erin Mendenhall (Mayor), Sue Bird
Dave Chappelle who was so easily dismissed the existence of trans people smugly and the name of comedy one day will be ashamed of his actions bsky.app/profile/darr...
Dave Chappelle plays victim of the “woke” crowd after making anti-trans jokes—yet continues to land multimillion-dollar Netflix deals where he aligns with TERFs (trans-exclusionary radical feminists, who reject the inclusion of trans women in women’s spaces) www.out.com/comedy/dave-...
His gross attack on trans people wasn't just comedy it was bigotry. He wasn't being ironic or observational he was denying people's existence. What a jerk bsky.app/profile/darr...

bsky.app/profile/darr... Dave Chappelle is a bigot and too many people are giving him a pass. If he wants to be a racist he needs to be also held accountable

Ugh. She's so spot on it gives me a stomachache every time I listen to it
Gene Wilder wasn’t just a brilliant actor—he was a master of comedy, a thoughtful writer, and a deeply kind soul. He made us laugh, think, and feel, often all at once. His work had heart, his words had wit, and his life had purpose. The world’s brighter because he was in it.
In American civic discourse, speaking out against injustice is often celebrated as patriotic and constitutional. BUT when Jewish voices challenge racism or inequality, their activism is uniquely vilified—mischaracterized as conspiratorial, invoking antisemitic tropes like AIPAC-backed agendas.
Corporate America, backed by the GOP, deflects blame for economic hardship by scapegoating marginalized groups like immigrants, who lack the power to fight back. While they hoard wealth, they pit working people against each other, distracting from the real source of inequality: corporate greed.
and Preserving democratic institutions is more important than short-term political gain. These presidents believed
Power should be limited by principle not just legality.
Even when they were frustrated by opposition or tempted to push boundaries, they respected the long-term health of the system.
• Undermining intelligence agencies
• Using executive orders to bypass Congress
• Appointing loyalists to independent agencies

But they chose not to understanding democracy is more than just laws—it’s also about norms, restraint, and precedent
Every president, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Obama, Biden—had the legal authority or the political opportunity to do many of the things Trump has done or threatened to do, including:
• Trying to fire Federal Reserve officials
• Refusing to concede an election
• Pressuring DOJ to investigate opponents
This isn’t justice. It’s vengeance. Trump doesn’t care about Babbitt—this is raw defiance. Every lawsuit, every trial, every mug shot—they didn’t break him, they provoked him. This is his way of screaming back: ‘You came for me? I’ll show you what that costs.’
This isn’t about Babbitt. There’s no logic here. Trump doesn’t care who she is—this is 100% a middle finger to the system for coming after him post-term: the lawsuits, investigations, trials, mug shots. It’s pure retaliation, not reason.
Watching ICE terrorize children in the name of our government is gut-wrenching. These are people acting on behalf of all of us, and the cruelty they inflict makes me physically ill. It’s unbearable to witness children treated with such coldness and fear by those wearing the seal of our country.
When Jewish communities hear 'Intifada,' they recall the trauma of suicide bombings, the murder of over 1,200 civilians, and years of lived fear. But when Mamdani redefines it as a peaceful struggle for rights, it feels like selective solidarity and who's pain matters and who's doesn't
