Riding metro during rush hour could be a jostling experience frotting against others and picking up their efleuvia. It was the olfactory experience you brought home.
Books, regardless of age, should have a good margin for leaving notes, exploring ideas. It's where we get the marginalia, sometimes called a gloss (glossaries owe their existence to scribes who just couldn't resist commenting on what they read.). Eventually the book is distilled into one's journal.
Transfer "permanent" things to your journal or common book for more work or future reference. Paper quality is critical, not just taking pencil and pen/ink with ease but accepting light washes from your watercolor box when needed.
I like anything that allows me to write, jot things down. Sketch books that allow drawings, diagrams. Field Notes because they honor that place where you need to have a temporary space to get through daily life - ideas, shopping lists, musings, quotes, etc. What some people call their brains.

I've got the lights off. People are supposed to realize that means no candy distribution. Yeah, explain that to people.
Thanks, Jerry. I think I may have more stories from NoDak.
That is what the interior looked like. What I've always liked are Fiels Nites note books for small notes, and Leuchtturm 1917 for the bigger, more permanent writings.

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.
Hi Java, it's a good song, a bit dated. 👋😀🎉🎊🖖✌️😎
