sonic is holding up a cut-out paper snowflake, and shadow is mid-cutting out a pumpkin. he slams his hand down on the table and points at the snowflake in sonic's hands, shouting, "it is NOT Christmas yet!" and sonic starts practically cackling because of how upset shadow is getting about it

night time in the forest at a campsite with the moon peaking in between some trees and the tent in the back. sonic sitting on the ground beside a bonfire, both hands holding one of his knees to his chest while his other leg bends off to the side. he's smiling and winking—up at shadow, who's holding an arm full of sticks and small branches while standing beside the fire as well. shadow asks, "what are you doing? you're not helping, that's for sure." and sonic says, "i AM! I'm.. being emotional support!" the same as the last, except without the text/word bubbles/dialogue :)

shadow reading a book, sonic leaning on him. sonic speaks, "so, like, you know the 'looks like a cinnamon roll' thing? well, I don't think you're any of the 4." sonic looks back at shadow and smiles, "y'know?" he asks. shadow is quiet, visibly confused, before looking over at sonic again and asking, "no? elaborate?" sonic snoets at the other's obliviousness. sonic turns to face shadow fully then and begins to explain. "yeah, so like- you 'look like a cinnamon roll', but you ALSO 'look like you'd kill someone'. yeah? then, also, you WOULD kill someone, and you ARE a cinnamon roll." and shadow is watching him talk, but seems no less confused. sonic finishes with, "so you're not any pair, you're like, all at once! y'know what i mean?" and shadow, absolutely not getting it, looks away and says, "uh.. sure." while sonic just looks amused because he 100% knows that shadow has no idea what he's taking about.

shadow, with a red background on his half of the screen, says, "I don't do 'promises', blue." and sonic, with a blue background on his half, says, "i knooow! just one!" sonic holds his hand out with his pinky extended. shadow pulls away, skeptical. then shadow scoffs, sonic whispers, "hey..." and shadow next gets defensive, asking, "fine, what is it?" to sonic, who is now smiling, completely fond and so in love with him. sonic, eyes opening, says, "promise me you know i love you no matter what." and shadow's quills lower, eyes widening, the frustrated shade on his face turning into green blush, his eyes lighting up, but he doesn't respond yet. shadow's ears flatten and he looks away, making a small "mm.." noise. sonic, sweating, tilting his head sheepishly says, "hey—y'know, you don't HAVE to-" but before he can finish, shadow reaches forward and links his pinky with sonic's. sonic perks, eyes lighting up, then he smiles fondly, while shadow looks away, flustered. he makes a small "hmp," noise, his turn to sweat now, and sonic just seems happy to be there.
