When I was in high school we were warned that the birth rate was too low so there’d reach a time when Boomers got old that we as a society could not sustain looking after them and running the rest of the country, so we needed immigration.
Also most ppl are generally decent imo.

YES. We know some of what his govt did and how the individuals grifted but I bet there’s more.
Scotty is the worst pm ever imo, and we know about him seizing all kinds of portfolios, sometimes he used that ministerial power w/out the minister knowing too. Needs a REAL and transparent investigation.

yeah, I find that hilarious too. They spent YEARS sowing racism and other forms of bigotry in the community, YEARS undermining civil society, so they could fearmonger to get power. Now they’re “not right-wing enough” to some while they’re just plain offensive to others.

Yes. I watched a bit of it and I’m glad I did. That way I can say I saw some of the evidence and some of her conduct and testimony and I 100% believe she is corrupt, should be stripped of all proceeds of crime plus her pension etc. Her getting off is a green light for more corruption.

Their racism has been a core component for decades. Howard lost because of it, then got into power with Hanson as part of his party. When she offended most of the world with her maiden speech, she was ousted from the Libs but Howard has used her and media gets her on to promote the worst opinions.

I want something like the NSW ICAC where we all got to watch a lot of Gladys’s hearing and see the evidence. But then I was really pissed off because their finding of corruption (very reasonable and fact-based) did NOT result in charges AND they kinda walked back some of it. CHILLING.

apparently in the US any politician who makes any comment, even SLIGHTLY against Israel, then “goes”. At best, at the next election they face well-funded opponents, even inside their own party.

Albo and his ilk are more about self-enrichment, now and the future, than they are about Australia. They are proving this time and again. Labor are the new LNP and are already further right than the Fraser government, and lurching further right, while the LNP are close to watch-list extremism imo.

it REALLY pisses me off that Albo is apparently taking advice from a billionaire who wants to steal all Australians’ privately owned IP so he can make trillions via AI.
Labor is imo more right wing than Malcolm Fraser’s Liberal govt.
We need to fix our system, stop it destroying good people.

I’ll vote Labor over LNP *BUT* I am officially looking for a third alternative. I’m in a die-hard Labor area (if the LNP had been elected federally, Dutton would’ve done what trump is doing and most of this area would have been deported).
We need better. ALP ousted in 75 and sold out since.

I don’t want “first past the post” because that reinforces the two party system. ALP and LNP were utter b*st*rds before the last election & rushed thru laws to make it harder for indies & small parties to run. And really they’re a right wing party now, just a bit more palatable than the LNP

I’m appalled. I’m also looking for a good Teal, Green or Indie candidate so I don’t have to vote Labor, which is, as @thejuicemedia.com says, “Shit lite” compared to the LNP’s “Shit”. They’re ending FOI, approving mining, did NOT give us the ICAC we wanted, now this.

This was a part of the 2025 manifesto. All Republicans knew it was the plan. All Republicans have supported Trump & his nominees to enact & carry out the plan. When they pretend they are concerned about its effects on their constituents, they aren’t. Hold them all accountable!

I’m confident I’m not on their radar. For a start, I’m not in the US, never visited and - as of Trump’s previous term in office - decided I never would visit.
Plus I don’t work for them so they can’t fire me for being “radical left”.
