On this day in 2010, the holiday short ‘Operation: Secret Santa — A Prep & Landing Stocking Stuffer’ debuted on ABC. It was a sequel to 2009’s ‘Prep & Landing.’ We catch up with Wayne and Lanny on a secret mission from Mrs. Claus, voiced by Betty White. The elves have been tasked to break into Santa’s hidden workshop to retrieve a sentimental item that becomes a gift for the big man himself. The 7-minute short ran alongside the original special and ‘Tiny’s Big Adventure.’

The Candlelight Processional at Disneyland is a tradition that dates back to the era of Walt Disney. This annual tradition sees a celebrity narrator tell the story of Christmas with the help of a mass choir, orchestra, handbell choir, soloists, and fanfare trumpeters. All of this takes place on a beautiful stage that is erected in Town Square on the front of the Main Street Station.

The Walt Disney Family Museum is hosting a new virtual talk. This time it will be with Jessica Max Stein, the author of the Richard Hunt biography, Funny Boy: The Richard Hunt Biography. This event will be taking place on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 5:30 PM PT. This event will be held as the 70th anniversary of the Jim Henson Company, and The Muppets continue to be celebrated.

Not a lot is known about The Simpsons 2 at this point. Earlier this year, a release date and poster were shared for the film. Nothing about the plot was revealed at the time, though. This week, 20th Century Studios released a new date for the film. In a post on social media, the new date was revealed as September 3, 2027.

Marvel Studios is bringing Avengers: Endgame back to theaters in 2026. The arrival of this 2019 blockbuster comes ahead of the premiere of Avengers: Doomsday on December 18, 2026. Avengers: Endgame will return to theaters on September 25, 2026. The film was originally released in theaters on  April 26, 2019, and had a record-breaking opening weekend before going on to earn $1.2 billion globally.

As part of the 50th anniversary of Star Wars, it was previously announced that the original film would be returning to theaters. Today, it was announced that when Star Wars returns to theaters on February 19, 2027, it will be the original version of the film that was seen by moviegoers 50 years ago. This was a movie that changed movies and moviegoers, with many talking about how blown away they were during the first moments when they saw that first Star Destroyer chasing Princess Leia's ship.

The Disneyland Resort has announced that 2 new Magic Key-exclusive popcorn buckets will be available in 2026. One of these buckets has a design that continues the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration. The other celebrates the 25th anniversary of Disney California Adventure. Each bucket will be available starting on January 13, 2026. Between January 13 and February 24, 2026, they will be refillable for $2.25.

The Pixar Place Hotel has two new signature suites that draw inspiration from Pixar’s Coco and The Incredibles movies. They are already available for reservations, and today, Disney shared photos of both of these new suites. They look beautiful. Take a look below at what these suites look like. A new Camp Rock 3 trailer has been released. In it, a new generation of rockers is vying to become the opening act for Connect 3. They will be joined by a new generation of campers who join the iconic franchise.

A new animated family comedy series called Hey A.J.! is heading to Disney+. It will premiere with the first seven episodes on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, on Disney Jr (7:00-10:15 a.m. EST/PST).
