Unsolicited advice is toxic, particularly if that advice comes from reading books or taking a class instead of actual lived experience.) Adding the word "should" to that advice makes it 1000 times worse. It's patronizing at best, bullying if you're in a position of power.

I've been a Scrum Master and Agile Coach for the past 8 years, and I've come to believe that roles like Scrum Master, Agile Coach, Kanban Manager, and Lean Expert should be skills owned by team members themselves as they build the product. I'm now transitioning into a Software Engineer role
