Labour MP for Uxbridge & South Ruislip. Worked in healthcare, grew up homeless & working to make a difference 🌹
Today is #WorldAIDSDay — a moment to reflect on progress in the fight against AIDS and the work still needed to end new HIV cases by 2030.

Great to see the Government has published their HIV Action Plan that will boost prevention, expand access to treatment, and tackle stigma

‼️REMINDER ‼️

I’m hosting a Health Summit tomorrow in South Ruislip — a chance to hear from health sector professionals and tell me what you want to see in Hillingdon 🏥

Blood pressure checks, flu vaccines & other advice stalls too! 💉🩺

📉 The SEND system, in its current form is failing a generation of children.

🗓️ In September, I held a consultation on the upcoming reforms to hear what parents and teachers need.

📣 I presented these findings to Minister Gould to ensure Uxbridge and South Ruislip’s voices are heard.

Our budget shows the difference a Labour Government makes:

🧒Lifting 100,000s of children out of poverty
🎰Taxing exploitative gambling companies
🏥Investing in Hillingdon Hospital, GP upgrades & more healthcare staff
💷Raising the minimum wage
🔋Cutting energy bills by £150

💬 Watch below as Health & Social Care Minister Stephen Kinnock meets the incredible team at the Pembroke Centre in Ruislip Manor to hear how they’re delivering neighbourhood health hubs.

🏥 The Gov. has chosen Hillingdon as a pilot site for these hubs - bringing care closer to home.

🎉 Great to have Minister Kinnock join us at the Pembroke Centre – one of the Government's pilot sites for Neighbourhood Health.

🏥 These hubs put care back at the heart of our community, offering a range of accessible services for residents.

A tourist levy is long overdue and would allow investment in local communities, boost funding for public services and policing.

Last night I spoke in Parliament about what a tourist levy can do for communities across London.

On Friday, I'll be hosting my first Health Summit — a chance to discuss developments in our health care sector nationally and locally, and to hear residents' views.

A few spaces are still left — RSVP here: sprw.io/stt-HDatt

🚗 Learners are being forced to deal with exploitative third parties to book tests.

✉️ I signed a letter with Labour MPs to end this malpractice.

✅ Great to see the Government listening and delivering reforms to make driving tests fairer & more accessible.

🙏 Thank you to Bishopshalt School for welcoming me to their Future Friday Talk to discuss my life before becoming an MP and what an average day in Parliament can look like...

Fireworks can be a great way to mark a celebration, but for many – from ex-servicemen and women to pet owners – firework season is far from a happy occasion.

I joined the Firework Impact Coalition to hear opinions around fireworks regulation including noise limits.

Following the success of our local campaign to keep Hayes Police Station’s front desk — now’s the time to keep pushing.

Community policing matters, and I’ll continue pushing for the reopening of the front desk at Uxbridge Police Station.

Another week, another win.

A constituent in an extra care facility needed a new care package to meet their needs.

My team raised it with the housing provider, kept pushing — and now they’ve got the support they need. 💪

When I visited the Uxbridge Cadets, it was clear just how valuable the Government’s target to increase cadet numbers by 30% by 2030 is.

But to make sure we achieve this goal, we must support the incredible volunteers who make it all possible.

The new Government is reviewing outdated council funding formulas. Boroughs like Hillingdon deserve fairer funding.

But Hillingdon Conservatives have proven they can't handle our money.

I've written to the Minister calling for fairer funding and an independent review.

I spoke to Rhys, my constituent in Uxbridge and South Ruislip, about the struggles people with disabilities face when trying to access essential equipment.

This is unacceptable.

I’ve signed a letter calling on the Secretary of State to remove barriers and tackle delays.

Today, I marked Remembrance Day at a moving Armistice Day service at St Giles’ Church in Ickenham.

It is our duty to remember those who fought and died for our freedom. They made the ultimate sacrifice.

We will always remember them.

It’s absurd that, in the middle of a housing crisis, we’ve got sites like St. Andrews in Uxbridge half-built.

Alongside the Government’s plans to unlock these sites, I’ve been pushing the developer to get this one moving again so we can deliver the homes we really need.

Streetlights are vital for making people feel safe—especially as the darker nights draw near 🌃

After reports of the light being broken outside West Drayton Station, my office raised this with Network Rail and can confirm it is now working once again 💡

I joined 38 Degrees, along with fellow MPs, to reiterate how further taxes on the gambling industry can help achieve this government's aim of tackling child poverty.

Whilst children go hungry, gambling companies must be made to properly pay their way.

Voluntary organisations are so often the lifeblood of our communities — especially here in Hillingdon.

From Mencap to Mind, we must support our third-sector organisations.

Great to hear that the Government is committed to championing them across all departments.

Last week I met with supporters and staff from Breast Cancer Now in Parliament to celebrate #WearItPink.

My mother was diagnosed with cancer, so for me, it’s personal.

Great to hear more about the support and research they provide for everyone affected by breast cancer.

I visited the Speaker’s Memorial Garden in Parliament this week to honour all those who gave their lives for our freedom.

In Uxbridge and South Ruislip, our Armed Forces are our history, our present, and our future.

It is an honour to remember them.

Lest we forget.

Thanks to everyone who joined last month’s coffee meet-up in Colham and Cowley ☕️

As always, it was great to hear from residents about the issues that matter to them — from the future of the Rural Activities Garden Centre to protecting our canals, to name just a few 🙌
