Boston Bruins have been dominating this game, but suddenly they are only up 2-1 and the Buffalo Sabres have a power-play. Huge penalty kill.

First game Lindy Ruff coached the Sabres against the Bruins was Nov. 20, 1997. Buffalo won 5-0 led by Miroslav Satan (2 goals, assist) & Dominik Hasek (29 save shutout)

Bruins were coached by Pat Burns and roster featured Ray Bourque, Joe Thornton, Don Sweene, Mike Sullivan etc.

I don’t think the incredible job that Bill Belichick did as an assistant coach (specifically with the Giants, Patriots, Jets) or as New England’s head coach for nearly two decades can be questioned. Maybe not perfect but an A+ job.

Being bizarre at 73 doesn’t change that for me.
