Damn. All my good underwear is in the wash. Now I have to deal with the ones that were bought as gifts.

Sneak peak of at://advent. Lots done this week.

Still focusing on the framework of it and not so much the UI. But I think it's working pretty well

Was weird not being able to reach 1800Mbps on the new connection following an upgrade.

After a quick chat with YouFibre, they managed to resolve it. Amazing stuff.

And we’re done. Migrated the home network to the new kit.

Was a bit fiddly migrating the old standalone UniFi/ Ubiquiti Controller to this, but we got there in the end.

It’s a UniFi upgrade kinda day

2 weeks paternity leave in the UK truly is a joke. Not enough time to get into some routine or spend bonding with your newborn. Never mind the fact that your partner hasn’t had enough time to get used to the big changes, body recovery and more.

Momma in bed and baby had a hard time settling, so staying downstairs with her for a few hours before taking her upstairs.

Perfect time to do some article writing on Reverse Proxies.

Baby fed and changed. Time to chill out with some Alien Earth.

She’s only behind me in a crib, but the baby monitor just lets me take a quick glance at her.

Self-hosted baby apps are great. Had the choice up subscribing to different apps to track feeds, changes, etc, but honestly, “Baby Buddy” does all of this and more, while being open source and self-host able in less than 5 minutes.

Interested to play around with the API and some automation son

Spending the early wake up creating additional images for the blog post.

My 8 year old iPad Pro and Pencil are still going somewhat, although it doesn’t receive updates anymore.

Spent the day finishing a write up on the next part of my “AWS Networking for Network Engineers”. Final sanity check tomorrow, maybe a couple more images and it’s ready for release.

Can’t wait as I want to do a couple of Proxmox write ups as soon as possible.
