I think that was the fomented-white-history-grievance group. It painful 20/20 hindsight, that phenomenon did not deserve the kid gloves it got. Instead it got genteel agree-to-disagree till they found their evil "Moses."

I think I can see that culture, including religious culture, can carry many poisonous elements in it (familiarity breeds contempt), resulting in seemingly well thinking people becoming party to curses.

Some wise up to the game and eventually learn better.

Classic Christianity (not the pro slavery garbage of Southern religion) would look further down the line and ask if many souls in black bodies will end up being blessed in a day of triumph. I believe it's logical by the premises of the promises and warnings of God.

It was not God's desire, but only permission, that your ancestors would be seen by Southerners as robots, and tough luck for them.

But this reveals where their hearts were even before a stiff trial. It's easy to fall for promises of Trump magic. Hard when he must deliver.

I believe God put people here with the idea that overall progress should be made, not as an individualistic contest.
