The only reason I stopped reading books for fun is because schools FORCE you to read things that don't interest you. Sure, I've had a few books that were worth my time, but everything else was mandatory, and boring. I found more joy in the educational books than actual fantasy back in school.

I see pieces like this a lot, often w/ a spin of lamenting cultural degeneration, but reading is a LABOR issue, it’s declined because so many people are working overtime or two jobs & employers expect after hours work.
