I don't regret what I learned in art school, don't get me wrong. I think if you CAN work hard at it, and you WANT to, that's amazing. just don't expect everyone to match that ambition.

like, we're all so obsessed on constant improvement and technical skill, which are good things, but idk it feels like if you're not all-in on taking it seriously (or if you don't have a lot of time to commit to it) you're seen as...lesser? a worse artist?

I feel like the way a lot of artists talk about art (especially online) is anathema to my executive dysfunction

like sorry, making it into a mandatory grind isn't for me. I create to get the ideas out when I have the energy and time to do so.

I don't think that makes me any less of an artist.
