For @thedemocraticparty.bsky.social to be viable in future elections, policies need to be put forward that are a true alternative (ie: economic relief, healthcare expansion). They also need to tap into better messengers. Those who can speak to the populist fervor and have credibility.

What #Trump gave to his supporters is a movement campaign (albeit one with terrible aims). Average people within #MAGA feel like they belong to a greater cause and have a means to channel their economic anxiety (even though their targets are off base)🧵
