The day I stopped describing my game collection as a backlog and started thinking of it as a library was a good day. A library is not only filled with books you have read. It should be filled with both books you have read and those you want to read. Same with games.
I don't need Pokémon to be photo realistic. I think they should lean in the other direction and go for a very stylised cel shaded look - instead we're in a weird uncanny valley of cartoony characters in these odd, very flat looking and sparse 3D worlds.
If you like a lot of biscuit in your biscuit, eat our biscuit.

Is that where we're headed?
That was a really interesting observation about Atari already feeling like ancient history by the mid 80s. Even to children who only missed that wave by a year or two.
I had no idea they were still hard to find in Japan? In the west they seem quite easy to find now
We need more of you on NVC! Just like old times
Rule 1 of game development... Know your audience! Seriously though, the point about meaningful 1 hour play sessions is a great approach.
And some update patches for Xenoblade 1, 2 and, 3 on Switch. Those games could look incredible on Switch 2.
Imagine being in that Church... "Christ has returned. And he's brought a sweet ass skateboard."
I've been enjoying the demo. I'll pick this one up soon for sure. Ys X was my first foray into Falcom and I loved that. Switch feels like the perfect place for those RPGs to live.
Here's the secret... Stop calling it a backlog. It's a library. Those games are a curated collection of titles that you CAN dip into at any time if you wish to. They are games you chose, this library is unique to you.
Only 1% better than ESWAT apparently
It was that slow, heavy jump that did it for me. Infuriating game sometimes but still a classic.
So the Galaxy double pack isn't getting a Switch 2 version?
It's so cool that this exists. Unfortunately the only 3DS I have is the New 2DS XL
You're not wrong. I still pre-ordered one 😅
I pre-ordered one. I'm a maniac
1989, me aged 7 witnessing an NES for the first time at a friend's house. Belonged to his older brother. Distinctly remember Super Mario Bros and Metroid. Seeing these incredible worlds you could explore and interact with... It changed me, from that point on, I was all in on video games.
Nicely played sir. I predicted Fire Emblem, though in truth I pray for a new FE game at every Direct, so not sure I can count that as win...
Seeing AAA games ticking up into the $80 bracket has been sobering. It's changing my behavior when it comes to buying new games. I'm pre-ordering less, waiting for sales more, delving into my backlog more often and enjoying more classic games via emulation.
Is there still no update patch for the Switch 1 version on Switch 2?
