Finally got some good coffee beans in and of course the improvement in flavor is like night and day. The moka pot definitely benefits from a more coarse grind as it greatly reduces the bitterness and high lights the other flavors.

Got stuck again today cause some mobile home communities can't be bothered to put down salt so now they've got a bunch of compacted snow and ice for their roads. Anyway today I learned that I can just push my trax if it gets stuck. Leg pressing 850lbs has it's perks.

My trax did get stuck today. Luckily it was in a college parking lot as they were plowing it and the plowers took the time to help me out. Kinda funny how it didn’t get stuck on any unplowed back roads, but right in town.

Picked up a new Moka pot to see how the differences in design affect the coffee. The one on the left is less likely to burn your coffee and you can make more of it in one process, but it takes twice as long as the one on the right.

Update on this thing. It can be sensitive to how fine a grind is. I did try this with pre ground coffee and after a few uses I’ve realized that it needs a little bit more of a coarse grind. I’ve got beans on order that should be in a few weeks (two volcanoes ftw.)

So back into making coffee again and decided to try out one of these. Picked it up from walmart and I have to say that this is the fastest way to make a quality cup of coffee. After cranking the heat on high in took maybe one or two minutes.

New 10 dollar keyboard from Walmart. It’s actually pretty comfy and has a nice weight to it. Im all about rounded chick keys now. Also very quiet and surprisingly smooth for 10 bucks. Draw back is the AAA batteryrequirement with no direct usb connection.
