Why are the Israelis held by Hamas “hostages” while the Palestinians held in Gaza by the IDF “detainees” ? Also if the conflict in Gaza is a War , why are the IDF border guards held by Hamas not POWs?

Yes the Balfour Declaration exploited a 19th century ethnonationalist ideology to export Eastern European Jews , displaced to Britain by pogroms , to Palestine; “liberated” from the Turks in part by the Arab revolt. The Arabs were also promised Palestine for their support. Israel founded on lies.
