In what world is Johnny Cash "deeply uncool" because it isn't this one

I spent far too long thinking this was about UT Austin and being very confused
Yay, Brody!! 🥳
Now at my 3rd #Neurotrauma meeting here in Philly this year! Not presenting this year but volunteering and representing. It's been a fun and interesting experience on the volunteer end. #NNS2025
I've not been good about posting recently. Had a great time presenting my research at #NEURAL2025 #UAB last week. Super fun little conference, made lots of friends and all the talks were so excellent! Hoping to see event photos soon as I forgot to take any pics. @uabneurorms.bsky.social

So then Elon goes "Kill the Bill!" and Trump goes "Elon has TDS!" so Elon goes "I'm the reason Trump won!" so Trump goes "we waste billions on Elon!" so Elon goes "Epstein!" and a corpulent flunkie goes "Deport Elon!" and Elon goes "Impeach!"

And THAT'S why women are too emotional to be President.
4 years ago I moved to Philly for graduate school. My mom is visiting me currently and showed me this picture of a moment between my dog and I from the move 4 years ago.
Improved my F31 score by 11 points from the first submission. Don't know if it is good enough for funding still, yet a relief to see actual improvement.
For some fun news, I was selected to give a short talk at the UAB NEURAL Conference 2025 in June. My talk will be about my ongoing dissertation project addressing limbic neuropeptides mediating sex differences in affective behavior after rmTBI during adolescence. @uabneurorms.bsky.social #NEURAL2025
I'd do anything for this face, though
My dog suddenly developing IBS (or maybe food allergies), pooping a bunch in the apartment and thus switching to the expensive prescription dog food diet is a sort of cherry on top of how this year has been going so far 🙃
None of the Fs submitted to the last December 8th deadline have even met for study section yet, I imagine council delays happened with last August deadline Fs as well

Last night’s article in the Washington Post about D.C. police responding to a 911 call by illegally letting DOGE onto private property is unlike any news story I have ever read. Every single person should read this article and think about where our society is going.
I mean, they are attacking biomedical science at every angle possible right now. You should see the censorship they are implementing at the NIH (like removing a mural of Fauci and then not allowing certain language in communications). Also no new grants since January
Haven't his ships all just blown up over the Gulf so far? Seems like he just kinda names random dates and then crosses his fingers
Voting yes is a punishment to working Americans, since that's what the CR will do. I voted for you, and I'm disappointed in your actions. Just run as a Republican next time so we won't be fooled again

In order to protect students from antisemitism at Columbia, the administration (advised by not one but two people who did a Nazi salute this year) is freezing support for students to learn science.
I have confirmation from several sources now that all T32s, many F30s and F31s, and most or all Center awards (P30, P50) have been terminated at Columbia.

This is quite damaging to research and to individuals.

This is pure terrorism and cannot be legal. But litigation will take time...
I wish anything made sense right now
I wonder if it is because the change to the forms/application that was already supposed to be in place for the April/May due date is now being pushed back another cycle. I noticed that the expiration is for the day after the May 7 due date.
Some good signs from Stand Up For Science Philadelphia yesterday
Hey my fellowship was also assigned to that study section (also found this out earlier)
This has really been the weirdest and worst way to really learn about how NIH grants work
