Pulling out this evergreen to remind that appeasing those whose main concern is convenience or self-image in hopes of gaining allies in them doesn’t build strength, it builds instability. Their support can disappear in an unexpected but critical moment, over random reasons.

If European leaders continue to support Ukraine “for as long as it takes,” they will only find out how long it will take for Russia to dismantle Europe.

Ru sent drones to Romania and "reckless" is a buzz word in the official reactions, but what does it mean? Ru is sending the drones deliberately not inadvertently, so reckless as "thoughtless" doesn't work. Reckless as in "ignores grave consequences" would be good, but where are the consequences?

Europe must help defeat Russia in Ukraine now, by stepping into the war rather than trying to hold it at arm’s length “for as long as possible” because the war has already begun, and treating it as a side event has always been a strategic mistake.

Defeating Russia is not some secondary option to self-armament – it’s a critical priority. Russia will absolutely try to sabotage rearmament through terror, corruption, and causing unready that would prompt people to vote for populistic proxies.

Sometimes I worry that the warning that defeating Russia is an absolutely necessary condition for preventing its fascist proxies from gaining power will not be heard in Europe in time. And I do think there’s still time left, but with no strong political will in sight, it’s hard to tell how much.

When Russia began bombarding farmers in Kherson with FPV drones, Oleksandr Hordienko fought back, shooting down over 80 with his rifle.

Russians took notice.

“They’re hunting me,” he said.

Been more quiet lately as some things kept weighing on me without pause, and pulling myself together takes mental strength I’ve found myself a bit short on. Grateful there are always people to amplify, and please keep donating to your trusted Ukrainian volunteers ❤️🌻

If NATO won’t react now (and they won’t), soon these drones will be flying over the Baltics, deeper into Poland, and more.

Surely they will at least try to shoot them down, unlike those that come kill Ukrainians, but I don’t expect much beyond that.

⚡️ Russian attacks kill 2, injure 28 in Ukraine over past day, damage energy infrastructure.

Ukrainian forces downed 74 out of the 95 drones, including Shahed-type attack drones and decoys, launched by Russia overnight, the Air Force reported.

It’s literally Europeans or no one else. No one else cares about Europe as home but those who live here. If Europe can’t protect itself, no one will. And if it can’t see that self-protection starts with Ukraine, it won’t be wiser to handle the war when it spreads.

Remember how in 2009 after Russia’s invasion of Georgia the US decided to press the “reset” button hoping it would motivate them to not invade anyone anymore

Again: Europe still can do more and must do more. Supercharge military aid to Ukraine. Close the sky. End all trade that feeds Russia’s war chest. Securing Ukraine’s victory in this war is not just morally right, it’s essential to prevent more wars from flaring up across Europe.
