🦊EVENTUALLY being on Windows 10 will be a problem, but realistically by the time it is it'll be like 2030 and they'll have come out with Windows 12 already, and by that point you'll probably need a new computer anyways

🦊(obviously you don't want to be using Win7 in 2025, but you get what I'm trying to say I think)

Valve only recently ended support for 32bit operating systems, something that affects only people on like the oldest computers you can think of that you can also think of running Steam lmao

🦊oh yea guys, if you're still using Windows 10 (like us): as long as you're getting that Extended Security Updates thing, you'll be fine. *Some* games say they wont support Windows 10 anymore, but it's not gonna break overnight, and there's a lot of programs that still work with Windows 7 lmao

🦊People in my replies talking about Bazzite and yea, we've heard it's really good for gaming with great driver support, but we also heard it's *only* good for gaming and if you're trying to do work, you're better off elsewhere. We haven't tried Bazzite so I can't comment on it unfortunately

🦊I think the only problem with Ubuntu based distros is how Canonical wants to make everything proprietary to their own ecosystem, which kinda goes against the whole idea of Linux. That being said, XFCE is peak and we love the mouse friend

🦊there's a lot of Linuxes, and the choices can be daunting, but checking out one of the ones I talked about in OP will set you on the right path without too much fuss. there are also (unfortunately) people who will say you're doing Linux wrong. Shove them in a locker and call them dweebs

🦊there's caveats to all of these Linuxes that I'm sure people will point out in the replies (Kubuntu making you have to enable flatpaks manually for example) but like, if you just want to go online and browse the internet, you dont have to worry about that

Steam will handle games for you easily

🦊lots of people wondering about Linux since Windows 10 ends today, and my personal recommendations are Fedora, Linux Mint, or Kubuntu. Friends of ours like Manjaro, so I'll throw that out there too

we personally use Debian with KDE, but I would not recommend that to people just starting out lol

🦨ideally once we're caught up on stuff we can focus 100% of our attention towards the new game. We also want to finally work on those commissions too, but we need a lot less on our plate before we can do that. we kinda became too bogged down in stuff to do, oops

🦨oh yea by the way, so everyone knows: we haven't worked on the new game prototype at all yet. we decided we want to finish all the unfinished stuff we have first, which is why we uploaded the Blobun OST, the SAGE 2024 and Mini worldpaks to mod io, and finishing up the v1.1 Blobun update
