I know rats don't live very long, but each time this happens it leaves a little furry pawprint on my heart that never seems to leave me. They're an experience I could never turn down even with the grief of losing them.

The amount of support I've gotten in the past day has been immense, I'm very grateful to all my friends and the kind people who've given me regards. Merlin's cagemates miss him terribly and I can't blame them :(. Have been spending my day feeding them and petting them through the sorrows. ❤️

There was a horrible accident last night and one of my rats, Merlin, is in absolutely awful shape. I will have to take him to go to sleep and am in no shape to do anything else right now. Any comms left for this week have been preemptively canceled and I am unsure how I will feel after he goes.
