It did do an abrupt turn for Heavensward but I think it helped a lot for me personally. When I do an NG+ playthrough I always treat the praetorium ad the prologue, and the banquet as the beginning

The bloody banquet forever changed the story for me. Ngl I wasn’t too invested at most points before that, I had trouble connecting with most of the characters but that scene instantly made me realize how much I had just glossed over. I don’t think it’s bad, but it is slow but man it hits
