Actually, the interesting thing about Kal-El is, given that he was sent to Earth by his biological parents, they would be the ones who broke immigration law, and as a baby, he would be placed in a foster home and/or adopted. In other words, the same result.

I'm now watching episode 4, and I'm confused about a lot of things as well, including: in front of LOTS of witnesses, the rogue suit of armor shows up, Riri gets into it, and her mom yells "Riri" as she flies off. Won't someone call the police and turn her in?

I share your heartfelt prayers. But it's not about President Biden's "weakness". It's about how people around Pres. Biden, including VP Harris, allowed a man not fit to serve, to serve as President. That was an assault on the Constitution that needs to be investigated and prosecuted.
