Idk I've had chronic insomnia my whole life so it's hard to pinpoint the exact issue. I've tried just about every alternate other than prescription medication which I've been able to start trying recently.

Yes it can when taken long term, my prescription is only meant for short term use. Luckily I don't seem to have any side effects from it other than the initial drowsiness but even that takes a couple hours to take effect.

I'm currently trying to find a sleep aid through my doctor and oh boy when something works it's so nice. The only prescription I've tried that seems to help is Ambien but I can only take it temporarily so we'll still be looking for another med I think. Have to jump through some other hoops first.
