With the announcement of Halo: Campaign Evolved, my eldest son said, hey we should play that together. My beloved son, I can only play the Library level so many times. In fact, I've played it twice, the second time thinking, surely it's not so bad. IT IS.

So I finally played Cafe Enchante, an #otome I've had in my library for a while. This is honestly the first otome I've ever played where I liked NONE of the routes. None of them had a *real* happy ending. So disappointed after all the hype.

I had a student come to my yoga class this morning that I haven't seen since COVID. I joked that she was there just for me, but she said not only was she there for me, but she had been trying to find me for a couple of years. Completely made my day. 🥰🥰🥰

Currently playing Gakuen Club, because I bought it years ago and I'm trying to go through my backlog before I buy new stuff. As much as I was annoyed that this otome has set routes at the beginning, darn it if I don't get suckered into each one of these stories. Dangit.

It's been a looong time since I've played any otome games, but I've gotten back into it thanks to the Switch 2. I've been replaying some, playing the second seasons of some, and I've started a couple I bought and never started. Hoo boy the differences are so stark. Almost wish I was back in writing.

After I finished Paper Mario: Origami King over the weekend, my first thought was to text @pressthebuttons.bsky.social and tell him I beat my very first Mario game so he could mock me and we'd laugh together. And then I remembered I no longer could do so and got very, very sad. 😭

Just finished Paper Mario: Origami King. What a really fun and surprisingly emotional game! Also, I didn't know I needed a cranky Bowser team-up with Mario until now. I give it two folded thumbs up.

After playing #Avowed, it inspired me to hop back into #PillarsofEternity. @obsidianent.bsky.social really went all in with building this incredible world. Really enjoying my time, even though I wish I had picked back up my original PC version instead of playing on console.

I have a work trip coming up in a few weeks. It dawned on me that the last work trip I went on was to LA in 2019 for the Mortal Kombat 11 event. I somehow doubt this one will be as entertaining.

As a kid, I HATED the sound of the Sixty Minutes opening ticking clock. It meant boring adult stuff incoming and time to start the bedtime routine on a school night. To this day, I hear that ticking stopwatch and I can't find the remote fast enough to change the channel.
