This house nearby is coming down today. It is 70+ years old and full of recyclable materials like the roof tiles, windows, doors and copper piping. The neighbours have been salvaging what they can before everything is destroyed and it all goes to landfill #recycle #re-use

The windows and doors have been painted, glazed and fitted. And yes, we can see inside. However nothing to see but bare brown walls. My skills don't extend to interior decorating #modelrail #modelrailway

A little marbled gecko uncovered during a clean outside. It didn't move for about an hour and a half. After about an hour it was brown where it appears white in the photo. Another half hour and it was gone. It took a while to heat up #gecko #nature

Moving right along. The cladding has been painted and glued to the structure. Next is painting the internals but I am pretty sure we can't see inside. Maybe. Then getting the windows and doors painted, glazed and fitted. #modelrailway #modelrail

Really starting all over, however the fine work and painting, gluing, following basic instructions; it is quite therapeutic. I can see myself loving it!

The club bought some kit models for the layout. For me it is the Milk Bar and Post Office building. I have not put together a model kit since I was a teenager, and then it was plastic Airfix of either planes or ships. Decades ago. This is mostly wooden and quite a challenge. #modelrail #modelrailway
