Wow, that's late.
I do once remember a Small Copper in the first week of November back in 1998 (?). The year we recorded the first uk Geranium Bronze in the garden.
A bizarre combination of species and time of year for each.

My book has got a great endorsement from Chris Packham: "This clever and immensely resourceful book is an overdue gem". There's also a few pages up on the website too! It's up for pre-order here with publication set for January pelagicpublishing.com/products/pan...

Previously, and I contacted you about this, when a recycling collection was missed it was collected and put in general waste! Other than the glass.
I just don't understand the logic here as that is a disincentive to recycling!
Great, that's simular to what's been accepted by surrounding authorities recycling for the last 10 or more years.
My roads recycling collection is so often missed, still waiting for last Friday's missed collection.
And 4 weeks back the glass wasn't taken. 🤷‍♂️

There's a 90% chance of a tropical depression or something greater developing in the next week.

Weather models suggest this may eventually end up as a hurricane that curves across the Atlantic.

This is likely to bring a lot of uncertainty to the UK forecast in 10-14 days.

Farage admits breaching parliamentary rules over Trump event, blames his office for ‘error’.

Collects full £93,904+exp as MP but isn't in the Commons often enough.

Previously claimed to have bought a house in his constituency, but after press investigation now tells a different story.

As we guessed, it has been the hottest summer on record, even surpassing 1976 which we thought was extraordinary, now appears ordinary. What will this do to butterflies? Small Tortoiseshell has been a victim, but Silver-spotted Skipper and Silver-studded Blue have benefitted. Its a complex picture
Met Office stats confirm summer 2025 is officially the warmest summer on record for the UK.

The UK’s mean temp of 16.10°C surpasses the previous record of  15.76°C and pushes the summer of 1976 out of the top 5 warmest summers.

Migrants didn't cut council funding. Migrants didn't cut NHS funding. Migrants didn't close youth centres. Migrants didn't sell off council houses. Migrants aren't filling our rivers with sewage.

Farage and co. will tell you to point the finger at migrants.

Don't fall for it.
Farage gets too much air time on Sky and BBC news, he doesn't deserve it!
I guess the second generation Peacock, I in Sussex have will emerge any day, use the Ivy and straight into hibernation.
I think autumn 2025 could be as colorful as 2003.
Ivy attracting lots of pollinators here in Cornwall, so early!
What will happen by the end of September?
Back in Sussex tomorrow.
Good but I do have concerns with regard to the environmental impact of extraction of metals for batteries.
Ivy blooms out and attracting bees, hoverfly and Red Admirals.
So early for Ivy to be in bloom!
